What is Restorative Dentistry?

Transcription:

Restorative dentistry is the rehabilitation of the worn, broken down dentition. We look at the whole picture: we look at function, we look at health and we look at aesthetics. Sometimes it’s simply done with a filling. It can be with composite bondings. It can be with veneers or full coverage crowns or inlays and onlays.

Way too often people come to us with infections, serious decay and they don’t have any pain. When we look at restorative dentistry, we look at removing all active disease processes and infections.

The substructure of the teeth is critical. it’s like the foundation of a home. You have to have a good foundation to build on top of it. So we always want the foundation to be healthy.
